Petroleum engineering is the branch of engineering that concerned with the activities related to the production of Hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Study Scope after B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering:

After completing B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering full-time course, students can opt for higher education. They can pursue M. Tech in Petroleum Engineering and opt for research-based studies after post-graduation. Some Engineering colleges also offer an integrated five-year course for students to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.

Graduates can also apply for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings through GATE or jobs in private organisations. The starting salary of a student with a BTech in Petroleum Engineering degree is Rs 4.5 LPA to Rs 15 LPA.

For any course to remain relevant in the future, major breakthroughs in technology are required.
