Delhi University Admission 2017 delayed, to begin from second week of May

Recently, six DU colleges made it to the top ten colleges list as per NIRF India Ranking 2017 released by Ministry of Human resource of Development.
With lakhs of candidates applying at Delhi University (DU), this year, the undergraduate admission process has been delayed by two weeks.

According to a leading media daily, the university is just finishing last-minute glitches, and it would take "at least a week or two" before admissions start.

Here's what an official from the university said:
While stating reasons for the delay, an official who did not wish to be named, said in a recent Indian Express report, "We're still left with some work to do, including checking websites and servers since the process will be completely online. We need to make sure everything is in order and is functioning properly before we open admissions, otherwise it could lead to chaos. As a result, the admission process has been delayed. We are not sure when exactly admissions will begin, but we need at least a week or two more."
